Hitting the single figures now! Just over a week to go!
Speaking to voters over the last few weeks has confirmed what I expected to be the case from my own experience. The state of our local roads is a major issue for pretty much everyone. MPs can't direct the council that are in charge of things like pot hole repairs. But I want to hit the ground running if elected in pushing them to act where it is needed most!
Tell me your nightmare pot holes and road surfaces desperately in need of repair! Though I appreciate the list will be long - we have to start somewhere.
The South East is due to receive £2.8 billion roads resurfacing money so we need to make sure we get our fair share. East Sussex County Council was successful in receiving £41.4 million for a Bus Service Improvement Plan - but what do you want from our local bus services?
I am keen to hear your thoughts on all local transport issues including road, rail and bus services as well as road safety. If elected it will help me draw up a plan for what I want to help get done locally.
